ACCIDENTS & DEATHS.
MAN BREAKS LEG IN TWO PLACES CHRISTCHURCH, Januuary 20. While trying to separate two fighting bulls with a short length of iron pipe in a paddock on his father’s property at Motukarara on Wednesday, Mr Alex Miller, aged about 32, misjudged a swing at the bulls and! struck his left leg, breakiug it in two places. Miller was riding a, horse at the time and was able to escape safely. He was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital.
WOMAN’S BODY RECOVERED.
CHRISTCHURCH, January 20,
The body of Miss Kate McLeod, who was reported to be missing at Lyttelton yesterday morning, was found this afternoon on the rocks at the bottom of a precipice at Windy Point, on the Lyttelton-Sumner road. The body was badly bruised, and appeared to have been washed up from the sea.
M iss McLeod, who was a. resident oi Port Chalmers, was 37 years of age.
