GERMAN ARMS INDUSTRY. FOUR-YEAR PLAN PROPOSED. (United. Press Assaciation—Copyright.) LONDON > January 19. The Berlin corespondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says important negotiations are proceeding between the |fcur-year-iplia(n authorities and the Reading heavy industries, notably Krupp and Rheinemetall. The aim is to secure greater efficiency and economy by introducing further State control, followed by the nationalisation of the whole armaments output.
It is also expected that a limit of six months will be set for the “Aryanisation” of the minor concerns remaining in Jewish hands. Herr Hitler is expected to tell industrialists that the title “four-year plan” is not intended to imply its restriction to this period. On the contrary. the ideas underlying it will he the Nazis’ permanent attitude toward trade and industry.
