Advice has been received by the in-ter-Dominion Trotting Championship Committee that the owers of Greyhound the famous American trotter, cannot accept the offer to bring him to New Zealand, owing to the guarantee not being sufficient. The Championship Committee offered Greyhound’s connections £3OO for each appearance, with a. minimum of 10 appearances, plus £SOO expenses, making a total guarantee of £3500.
