MOTHERS’ UNION.
THE TINWALD BRANCH The last meeting for 1937 of the Tinwald branch' of the Mothers’ Union was held on Wednesday. The Vicar (the Rev. H. A. Childs) conducted the devotional service in St. Andrew’s Church, Brs J. Roffey being organist. Subsequently in the parish hall Mrs C. Jennings presided over a good attendance. Mrs Moffat, of Hinds was the speaker, and gave a very interesting talk about her journey to England, and her work with the Mothers’ Union in a rural parish, where the Rev. Mr Moffat was stationed for nearly a year. The speaker displayed many photographs of her travels and illustrated books. At tbe conclusion Mrs Jennings on behalf of the members thanked Mrs Moffat for her address.
