With the exception of fowl wheat there is very little activity in the South Canterbury grain, seed and produce markets this week. There has, 1

2 however, been a fair amount of forward inquiry for oats and potatoes. Fowl wheat is in good demand at 5s 9d a bushel, f.o.b. The market for oats is still being supplied with cheap oats from Bluff. Nominal quotations are: A Gartons 2s lid, B’s 2s 9d, Algerians 3s 2d, and Duns 3s 6d a bushel on trucks. Partridge peas: No. Us are worth 5s a bushel on trucks. The value of chaff is £3 10s a ton on trucks. New potatoes are now coming on to is the market and there are fortunately ;s very few old ones to clean up. For>f ward quotations are: Sutton’s £4 10s ss and whites £4 5s a ton on trucks. RABBITS'KINS SALE. DUNEDIN, November 25. Tlie first summer sale of rabbitskins was held today, when the combined brokers offered a medium catalogue to a full bench of buyers. The offering comprised principally summers, springs, and, milkies, and considering the depressed state of the overseas markets it sold at fairly satisfactory rates. Outgoings and winter grades declined up to 18d, spring bucks and does Bcl to 14d, summer broken sd, and summers sd. For a small parcel of first winter bucks 52£d was realised.
