A Nazi diplomatic .correspondent violently attacks an article by the diplomatic correspondent of the ter Guardian,” containing Germany’s demands. He describes is as a “masterpiece of lying reporting.” The Nazi correspondent adds: “We do not know from which muddy well he draws his information, hut we do know that it is a lying invention from begining to end.” Other expressions used are “impudent and shameless political blackmail,” and “publicity gangster methods.”
He concludes: “We are more than ever convinced that until this international well-poisoning is stopped } all political visits and conversations are useless and can only serve to confuse the international situation.” MR CHAMBERLAIN'S STATEMENT, FEATURED IN BERLIN. BERLIN, November 25. Mr Chamberlain’s statement in the House of Commons on 'Lord Halifax’s visit to Germany is given prominence on the front pages in the Berlin newspapers. There is no comment, but the headlines emphasise that the confidential nature of Lord Halifax’s visit is being preserved.
