ITALIANS IN LONDON.
BETTER UNDERSTANDING SOUGHT. United Press Association— Copyright., LONDON, November 24. After placing a wreath on the tomb of the Unknown Warrior in Westminster Abbey, the leader of the Italian former servicemen’s delegation, Signor Deleroix, who lost his sight and both arms as a result of tlu* Great War, made an appeal for a better understanding between Britain and Italy. The First Lord of the Admiralty (Mr A. Duff Cooper) in a speech at a dinner given to the delegation by the British Legion said that there could never be a serious misunderstanding between Britain and Italy, who had been friends and allies in the past and would be in the future. The Italian Ambassador to Britian (Count Grandi) said he was convinced that in spite of the apparent differences there was an understanding between Britain and Italy. When the two countries at last decided to clear the way, they would discover that there was no real cause for mistrust between them. The King received the members of the delegation and chatted with each man.
