CHRISTMAS MAILS.
FLYING-BOATS TO BE USED. .United Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, November 22. The aviation correspondent of “The Times” says that the two flying-boats, each capable of carrying five tons, which carried out the Atlantic experimental flights, will be brought in by Imperial Airways to help with the Christmas mails to Africa. Other additional flying-boats will also participate. There will be no extra services to Karachi as the carrying capacity has been increased by the substitution of flying-boats for landplanes. Two extra liners will go to Singapore and one extra to Akyab.
It is likely that Qantas services between Singapore and Brisbane, will be duplicated.
