WOMEN’S DIVISION.
THE ASHBURTON BRANCH. MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS The president (Mrs E. M. Begg) presided over the meeting of the Ashburton Branch of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union. Motions of sympathy were passed with; Mrs R. F. Leadley in the death of her father, and Mrs S ! . H. Lill and Miss M. their illness. It was reported that one housekeeper had been out for the mouth. The Hospital Board wrote asking the branch to conduct a stall on Hospital Day. It was agreed to do so. Mrs Begg reported on the Health Camp meeting. An invitation was received from the Miteham-Rokeby branch inviting members to its fourth birthday party. Members from the Greenstreet branch were present, and a competition held during the afternoon was won by Mrs Harper. Hostesses were Mesdames Lamb and Hawke. Competitions resulted,: —Best bloom, Mrs Hawke 1, Mrs Amos 2, Mrs Lamb 3. Shortbread: Mrs Lattimore 1, M iss Macmillan 2.
