ON HITLER MODEL
FASCIST MOVE IN POLAND. PEOPLE DEPRIVED OF FREEDOM. IN MOOD FOR REVOLT. United Press Association—Copyright l (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, November 22. The “Daily Herald’s” correspondent, Mr A 1 Easterman, in a long dispatch from Warsaw says that the leaders of the movement are making no hones about their intentions to turn Poland into a totalitarian state on the Hitler model, with a full Nazi programme adjusted to suit Polish conditions, even to the destruction of Polish Jewry by mass expulsion and race outlawry. Poland already has its Goebbels in Colonel Koc, behind whom is Colonel Miejinski, a personal political friend of Colonel Beck, at present Foreign Minister. The army is regarded as safe for a Fascist bureaucracy. One in seven of the population is certain to line up and be militarised aiid the police force is already in Fascist hands. The mass of the people, deprived of freedom by edicts, is in a mood for revolt but is disorganised and slow to act. These are conditions which the reactionary elements consider are ripe for a Fascist coup.
