SOCIAL CREDIT WHIP. (United Press Association —Copyright. 1 (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) NEW YORK, November 20. An Edmonton message states that James Unwin has announced that his appeal has been abandoned. Unwin (whip in the Alberta Social Credit Government) was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment for defamatory libel, in connection with the attack on the Alberta bankers. Mr Justice Ivea warned accused that he had better take a personal stocktaking. The constituents were paying for the best public service and had been betrayed.
