AN INDICTMENT FOR MURDER. THE NARCOTICS INVESTIGATION. (United Proas Assaciation —Copyright.) (Received This D'ay, 9.5 a.m.) NEIW YORK, November. 20. Two illustrations of the tenacity of the law was supplied by the indictment of 23 white persons and Chinese on charges of dealing in narcotics, and also by the arrest of four men in. connection with the murder of a policeman in New York in 1931. The narcotics investigation is claimed to have smashed, three interlocking rings with a yearly turnover of 1,000,000 dollars. The policeman was shot dead by a hold-up gang, and the case was recently revived after information had been given to the police by one of the men. After making the alleged confession he attempted to commit suicide.
