FARR DECLINES BIG OFFER. (Received This Day, 12 Noon) ' LONDON, November 19. Besides a joint offer by a wealthy American and British sportsmen, of £20,000 in cash in return for 25 per cent, of his earnings in 1938, Tommy Farr, the boxer, says he has been offered two fights worth £20,000 in Germany by a famous promoter whom he is not able to name at present. CARNERA SEVERELY CRITICISED (Received This Day, 12.15 p.m.) PARIS', November 19. Benny Huntman, manager for Carnera, states that the boxer has been offered another contest in Paris in December, probably against Charles Rutz who' recently defeated Dimeglio. Car:nera considers that two or three weeks’ training will bring him back to his old form. The Press mercilessly criticises Garner a. “L’Auto” says: ‘‘Camera has no more punch, no more legs, no more skill, no more rights, no more lefts, no more anything.”
