THE LONDON WOOL SALES. (United Prose Association— Copyright.) (Received This Day, 1.30 p.m.) , LONDON, November 19. At the wool sales, 6848 bales Avei’e offered, Including 1895 New Zealand, and 4150 Aver© sold. A fair selection Avas offered, and there Avas a keen demand for the best kinds. N©av Zealand slipe lialfbred lambs, “Eclipse,” -made top price of I4£d, and an average of 13Jd; greasy crossbred, blackhead, 14£d and 14Jd.
The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office, under date November 19 . Compared with opening, competition rather more general, but mostly Continental. Prices for greasy crossbred in buyers’ favour. Sales close November 26. Current quotations for wools of average condition: —Merinos : Super, 60-64’s, 14d to 15d per lb; ordinary, 60-64’s, 12id to 133c1; inferior, 60-64 s, IOJd to lid. Halfbreds: 56-58 s, 14$d to 15d per lb; 56’s, 14d to 143 d; 0056’s, 13d to 14d. Crossbreds: 50 s, 12d to 12hd per lb ; 48-oo , s, to > 46-48’s, llid to 12d; 44-46’s, llid to 12d; 40-44’s, Hid to 12d; 36-40’s, Hid to 12d. FROZEN MEAT TRADE. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London Office as at close of business this week:— Wethers.—There is a better demand for lightweights. Ewes. —There is a moderate demand. Prices are firm. Lambs. —The market is firm. Trade generally is brighter with a better demand.
