SPORTS ATTRACTIONS.

FIXTURES FOR TO-MORROW. THE TENNIS COMPETITIONS. A comprehensive list of sports fixtures, including tennis, cricket, and bowling competition matches, has been arranged for to-morrow. Tennis Competitions. The first matches of the Mid-Canter-bury Lawn Tennis Sub-Association’s j senior and junior town competition matches will be played. The senior match is between Allenton and Te Marae, on the Allenton courts. In the junior grade the draw is: Fairton v. Allenton, Ashburton A v. Methven, Te Marae v. Ashburton B. Bullock Pennant Bowls. The annual series of bowling matches for the Bullock Pennant will begin with a match between Ashburton and Allenton, on the Allenton green. The winning team" will play off further matches against the country clubs. Cricket Competitions. The competitions of the Ashburton Cricket Association will be continued. Senior grade matches are as follow: Kia Ora v. Ashburton, at Kia Ora; Old Boys v. Technical, on Oval; Public Works Irrigation v. Fairfield at Winchmore. The junior matches are: Tinwald v. Methven 3 Public Works Irrigation v. Coldstream, Technical v. Old Boys, and Kia Ora v. Lauriston. These matches will be played under the new rules, which re-introduce the eight-ball over. There will also be a two-minute time-limit for incoming batsmen to take their places after the fall of a wicket.
