DIVORCED PERSONS.
METHODISTS AND REMARRIAGE. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 18. Confirmation of the findings reached at the last New Zealand Methodist Conference on marriage and divorce was made at tho annual District Synod of the Methodist Church in Auckland. Various resolutions on these subjects had been submitted by the conference to the individual Synods for consideration. A resolution setting out the Methodist attitude to the remarriage of divorced persons was adopted in the following terms: “That a minister may remarry a divorced person or persons if he is satisfied, after consultation with both parties to the proposed remarriage, that in entering into marriage they have a sincere and honest purpose and an attitude of mind which is in conformity with the Church’s view of what marriage should mean and stand for.”
