TRADING IN OPIUM.
NAPIER CHINESE FINED. (Per Press Association.) NAPIER, May 3. Wong Sing, a market gardener, who was said to have traded systematically in opium, was fined £SO this morning. Three half-pound tins of opium were found in his possession on Saturday evening. The police said that he had eluded them for some time. He bought tiie opium from a Chinese firm in Wellington. Jack Yee, described as a well-known opium smoker, was lined £25 for being found in possession of opiumsmoking utensils.
