Tlio Cheviot Trotting Club’s meeting was held to-day. The weather was fine and the track in good order. The totalisator handled £5190, compared with £3348 last year. Concluding results :—■

WESTPORT TROTTING CLUB. CYCLONIC SUCCESSFUL. WESTPORT, March 20. The annual meeting of the Westport Jockey Club opened to-day in fine but overcast weather. The track was in excellent order. Fields were weakened through injuries to horses while in transit. The totalisator handled £4940, as against £4239 last year, an increase of £7Ol. SUCCESS FOR MONEY RAID. PALMERSTON NORTH, March 20. The Pahiatua Racing Club’s meeting was concluded to-day in line weather. The attendance was an improvement on that of the first day. Tiro totalisator handled £9821- 10s, against £6098 on the corresponding day last year. The total for the meeting was £18,745, compared with £12,298, representing an increase of £6447. STRATFORD RACING CLUB. REIPAR WINS MEMORIAL. STR ATFORD, March 20. There was dull but fine weather for tho one-day meeting (additional permit) of tho Stratford Racing Club today. The track was firm and there was a good attendance. Tho chief event was the Budge Memorial, and a trophy, a grandfather clock, presented by Mrs Budge, widow of the club’s former president. The totalisator figures were £17,437 10s. The only comparison was with £9281 for seven races in April, 3 933. Concluding results:

The Chief Ruler—Timid colt Rea-e----moa won the Two-year-old Handicap on protest from Dightenavalley. There were 25 starters.
