KING AND DOMINIONS.
EVENT OF TRIP ABROAD. NEW CROWN NECESSARY. LONDON, January 26. If King George VI. were to visit the Dominions, he would have to take with him a new Crown. llie Imperial Crown used at the opening of Parliament and at other State functions cannot legally leave England, and it is recalled that King George V. took a special Crown with him to India for the Durbar. An interesting situation is likely to arise in the event of the King Visiting the Dominions. With a Regency Council oppointed in London, it will have to be decided whether the Council will continue to act here in connection with the whole British Commonwealth or whether the King will function in reference to the Dominions (apart from the purely ceremonial side).
