PURSUANT to Section 7 of “The Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925,” and its amendments, I hereby give notice that an Election will be held on Friday, 12th day of March, 1937, for the purpose of electing one Councillor for the Borough of Ashburton, in place H. R. C. McElrea (deceased), and I hereby appoint the Municipal Offices, Havelock Street, as the place, and MONDAY, the Ist day of March, 1937 (before Noon) as the day for the Nomination of Candidates for such office.
