MILL GALLEYS.

EXEMPTION FROM TRAFFIC FEES (Per Pres 3 Association.) QUEENSTOWN, February-18. Arrangements are being made by the Minister pf .Transport (tlie Hon. R. Semple) for the preparation of an Or-(ler-in-CoUncil which will exempt from the annual licensing and heavy traffic fees agricultural lints, galleys and similar trailers drawn from farm to farm in the course of agricultural operations. An announcement on these, lines was made by the Minister to-day. “This means,”' said Mr Semple, “that these types of trailers will be liable only for the non-recurring registration fee" o’’ £l, and the annual third-party insurance of 6s. This. is desirable in case they are involved in road accidents. As they arc used on the road only to a limited extent in proceeding from farm to farm, and in view of the purpose for which they are used, . I consider that any further taxation would be unreasonable.”
