INFANT PRINCESS.
TO DUKE AND DUCHESS OF KENT MOTHER AND CHILD WELL. /United Press Association—Copyright} (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, December 25. The Duchess of Kent has given birth to a daughter. The doctors in a bulletin say that the Duchess and the infant Princess are doing excellently. The news was immediately telegraphed to their Majesties, Queen Mary, and other members of the Royal Family. Sir John Simon motored to Belgrave Square, as the Home Secretary, according to constitutional practice, must be present at the birth of a prince or princess. The ‘Duchess’s parents spent the night at the house. A Royal salute in honour of the new Princess will be fired to-morrow at Hyde Park and the Tower of London.
