toETHVEN CUN CLUB. With the exception of the annual D.C.L. Challenge Shield match, the Methven Gun Club brought its season to a close on Saturday afternoon on Mount Harding Racecourse. There was a good attendance, and in consequence of the annual ladies’ match being included in the programme, there was a large attendance “of the fair sex. A very strong north-west wind made conditions somewhat unpleasant, while shooters at times found difficulty with the clays, which were very fast.

The Club Championship was won for the second time by T. S. Harrison, with a possible of seventeen birds.

The final shoot for the Black and White trophy, an aggregate over four shoots was also won by Harrison, with 46 points. Details: Six Clay Bird Match, for a trophy presented by Mr El. J. Watson, and added sweepstake—G. A. Franks 6, W. Anderson 6, A. E. Wilson 5 plus 1,6; D. Harrison 5 plus 1,6; L. C. Anderson 6. In the final shoot-off, W. Anderson was the winner, D.
