CRICKET.
THE M.C.C. TEAM’S TOUR. ALLEN TO CHOOSE DEPUTYCAPTAIN. LONDON, Sept. 2. , Mr P. F. Warner says that the selectors of the English team to tour Australia will not choose the vice-cap-tain, leaving it to G. 0. Allen (the captain), to select his own deputy, who, the “Daily Sketch” says, will obviously be R. E. S. Wyatt or R. W. V. Robins. The “Daily Sketch” expresses the opinion that the Marylebone Cricket Club has made a grave error in not settling such an important point before the departure of the team.
