AFTER FORTY YEARS
CULMINATION OF A ROMANCE, COUPLE TO BE MARRIED. BRIDEGROOM IN AUCKLAND. (United Press Association —-Copyright.) (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 1. A correspondent of the “Sun-Herald” service says that Miss Mary Huntingdon, of Bradford, will sail by the lonic on Friday to marry Mr John Turvey, of Auckland, to whom she was affianced in 1896, prior to Mr Turvey’s departure to New Zealand in search of a fortune.
Miss Huntingdon’s devotion to her aged parents, both now dead, has been a harrier to the earlier culmination of the romance. She had packed in 1912 in readiness to depart, but the illness of her mother caused an alteration in her plans.
