ALLEGED THEFT.
SHARE-BROKER AND SALESMAN. SUM OF £450 INVOLVED. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Approximately £2OOO would he involved, said Chief-Detective Dunlop, in the Magistrate’s Court to-day 1 , when William Wallace McClelland, a sharebroker and salesman, was charged that at Cheviot he stole £450, the property of John Graham McPherson. The police said that McClelland! was arrested in Australia, and arrived in Christchurch under escort yesterday. A remand was granted till September 10, bail being allowed, self in £2OOO and one surety of £2OOO, accused to report daily to the police.
