ASHBURTON REPS. IN LEAD. At half-time in the match between Ashburton and North Otago women’s teams, the Ashburton team was leading by 1 goal to nil. SCHOOLS’ TOURNAMENT. The annual tournament for school teams of seven players each, promoted by the Ashburton Ladies’ Hockey Association with the object of promoting interest among the younger players, was held on the Ashburton Domain this afternoon. There was some keen play and there was a fair attendance of spectators. Results:— First Round—Lowcliffe 1, Tinwald nil ; Hinds 1, Metliyen nil. Second Round—Lowcliffe 2, Rakaia nil. Final—Lowcliffe (E. Dutton,. Jean Harris, Joyce Harris, R. Bonnington, J. Hansen, M. Hawke, M. Burt) 1, Hinds nil. Mr W. B. Thomas was referee.
