CONFERENCE IN CHRISTCHURCH.

A preliminary review of conditions in the dairy industry in Canterbury with a view to possible rationalisation, was the main purpose of a conference of dairying interests begun yesterday. Sir Francis Frazer (deputy-chairman of the Executive Commission of Agriculture) who attended the conference, said lastevening that nothing definite was arrived at during the day, but that a subcommittee had been set up to continue the discussions to-day. Topics discussed yesterday included plans for zoning or amalgamating the various interests in Canterbury.
