The action, which was the biggest since the rioting began, broke out when snipers fired on a military patrol. Three Arabs were killed by Lewis-gun fire, but the patrols were outnumbered and reinforcements were summoned. The Arabs resisted desperately. Aeroplanes machine-gunned the Arabs, and it is believed that many were wounded.
