' PUBLIC NOTICES. ' BOROUGH OF ASHBURTON. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT AT A SPECIAL MEETING of the Ashburton Borough Council held on the 25th day of May, 1936, the following resolution was paSsed and will he submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on the 22nd day of June, 1936,-at 7.30 p.m., at the Council Chambers, Havelock Street, Asliburtonz—n That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and with the precedent consent of the ratepayers of the Hampstead Area of the Borough and with the sanction of the Local Government Loans Board, published in the N.Z. Gazette, dated the 7th day of ' May, 1936, the Ashburton Borough Council hereby resolves by way of Special (Order as follows : That for the purpose of providing Interest and Sinking Fund on a loan of £12,000 known as the Hampstead‘D‘ravinage Loan, 19353; to be raised for the purpose of installing an underground Drainage ' System for the Hampstead Area of the Borough, the Ashburton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of One Shilling and Seven’pence Halfpenny (1/71}) in the Pound (:3) upon the rate-able value of all rateable property within the boundaries of the , said Hampstead Area of the Borough on the basis of the Annual Value, and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be - payable annually on the lst day of July, in each and every year, dur—ing the currency of such loan being for a period of thirty-five (35) years from the Ist day of June,‘ 1936, or until the loan is _fully paid off.
