Victor Thomas Ma-nssen, aged 21, was fined £5, in default 14 days’ imprison—ment, by Mr Salmon, 8.31., for disorderly oonduct and a similar penalty for assaulting); Constable Fleming in the execution of his duty. Counsel for accused said the occasion was his twenty—first birthday and he had some. drink. The Magistrate intimated that in View of defendan’ts previous good (har—acter he would not inflict imprison—ment, but would certainly impose a penalty that would remind him of his twenty—first birthday. ‘
