RECORD OUTPUT.
BUTTER SEASON IN WAIKATO. ' (Per Press Association.) HAMILTON, June 13. Returns now available covering the company’s total production during last season show that all previous records of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company have been eclipsed, the increased butter production amounting to 5410 tons. At the company’s 16 butter factories outputs ranged from 1000 tons at Ngo—ngotaha, to (>385. tons at \Vaharoa. At the 18 cheese factories the quantities manufacturede varied from 288 tons to 1029 tons. The outjut of butter at \Vaharoa represented an increase of ‘2l per cent, while at me othvr fec‘tories substantial increases were er—iported:
An increased overseas demand re—sulted in a. substantially increased out put in casein and a greater output of milk powder was quickly absorbed by overseas markets.
It has been decided By ibe company, on account of the improved conditions on t-lm United Kingdom mar~ kct, to make an advance of ls per lb for butter fat, and 15 lid per lb butterfat for cheese.
The output of the other \Vaikato co-operative and proprietary company also increased substantially, a. reflection of the exceptionally good dairy season in the Waikato.
