The attitude of the executive of the Canterbury branch of the Liberal Association toward the National Party was discussed. by members at a meeting last night. The followingr resolution was (-arried:_ “Realising that the New Zealand National Party is still‘ the same part§ that so completely lost the oonfidenee of the electors at the reeent eleetlons, this executive of the Liberal Association of New Zealand (C:‘lnterhnr37 branch) having expressed no-eeznfi-dence in the administration of the fOrmerr Government 12 months ago, now declines in any way to he associ-ate-d with representatives of the National Party in the formation of an organised opposition party to the present Government.”
