AEROPLANES COLLIDE.
ACCIDENT AT MASCOT. OCCUPANTS SLIGHTLY INJURED. (United Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, April 14. Two light aeroplanes engaged in pleasure flights collided at the Mascot aerodrome this afternoon. One of the pilots, B. Shepherd, and his two passengers, country men, were slightly injured. Shepherd’s aeroplane was almost wrecked. The accident occurred when Shepherd, in a Fox Moth, was taking off. Another machine, a Gipsy Moth, was taxi-ing across the aerodrome and passed beneath. It was struck by the wheels of Shepherd’s machine, which somersaulted and crashed from a height of .seven feet. One wing of the Gipsy Moth was ripped off.
