Mr Bosshardt, the missionary who, with Mr A. Hayman, formerly of Auckland, was captured by Communists on October 2, 193-1, has been released after 18 months’ captivity. He is now safe at Yunnan-fu. UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE. NO PAYMENT OF RANSOM. WELL AS COULD BE EXPECTED. (Received This Day, 9.10 a.m.) MELBOURNE', This Day. Dr. J. Kitchen Home (director for Australia and New Zealand of the China Inland Mission) has received a cablegram announcing that Mr Bossliardt has been released from captivity unconditionally and without payment of a ransom. Mr Bosshardt is reported to be as well as could be expected. He will take the train from Yunnan-fu to the coast, and embark for Shanghai, wheie he will rejoiu Mrs Bosshardt.
