TWO BEQUESTS.
ROWING AND FOOTBALL CLUBS. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A bequest of £IOOO to the Canterbury Rowing Club and one of £SOO to the Christchurch Football Club was made by Mr J. R. Evans, who died last Thursday. Both bequests are subject to the widow’s life interest. Mr Evans was a member of flic Canterbury Rowing Club for 60 years, and was a member of the Christchurch Football Club since 1874. He also held the offices of president and patron.
