MAORI SURRENDERS.
TO A BURGLARY. (Per Press Association.) WAIPUKURAU, March 10. A young. Maori, Martin Peraniki, otherwise kiiown as Bobby Martin, gave himself up this morning alter a search by a posse of 11. mounted police operating in the r l ikekino district, 1 1 miles from Waipukurau, had proved fruitless. Shortly after midnight on Saturday Mr J. Vesty g f ive chase to a man who was discovered in the act of breaking into bis home. Early in the same morning Hr Vesty and Constable Dawson made a capture, but the man broke away in the darkness. He was armed with* a shotgun and cartridges.
