JUNIOR TEAM IN SYDNEY. FURTHER SUCCESSES GAINED. * SYDNEY, March 5. The New Zealand junior tennis players again had a successful day in the New South Wales junior lawn tennis championships. Results included, : Boys’ Singles (under 21) —Gunn (N.Z.) lost to Lindo, 4-6, 0-6; Patti nson I(N.Z.) beat W. Smith,, 6-1, 6-0; Pattinson. also beat G. Plunkett, 64, 8-6; Mayson (N.Z.) lost to Gilchrist, 8-6, 0-6, 1-6; Cbrich (N.Z.) beat E. Willard, 6-3, 3-6, 64; Brown (N.Z.) beat G. Martin, 64, 6-2. Beys’ Doubles (under 21) —Gunn and Bedford (N.Z.) lost to F. Bennett and W. Sidwell, 64, 1-6, 2-6. Mixed SDbubles (under 21) —Brown (N.Z.) and Miss T. Rice lost to G. Martin and Miss N. Vickery, 6-2, 4-6, 3-6; Pattinson (N.Z.) and Miss C. Bubb won by default. Men’s Special Singles—Mayson (N.Z.) beat G. Kendall, 6-2, 5-7, 64; Gunn (N.Z.) beat A. Tuthill, 6-0, 6-1; Corich (N.Z.) beat R. Franki, 6-2, 6-1. Men’s Special Doubles—Bedford and Gunn (N.Z.) beat H. Betts and, J. Rodgers, 64, 64. Boys’ Singles (under 17)-—Painter (N.Z.) won by default.
