JEWS IN ENGLAND.
FASCIST PERSECUTION ALLEGED EXTRA POLICE ON DUTY. (United Press Association —Copyright.) LONDON, March 5. Instances of the persecution of Jews in the East End of London, by Fascists were quoted by Mr Morrison in the House of Commons. He said a Black Shirt who is a professional boxer, struck n- Jew. The Fascists threatened a Jewish woman that her millineiy shop would he burnt down. They called her “a dirty Jewish cow.” They pasted labels on houses and shops with inscriptions: “Get back to the Ghetto, perish Judah.” » A leaflet issued by the Imperial Fascist League said there wore a million Jews in Britain, almost the same number as the British unemployed. This incitement was similar to that on which the Nazi Government liaised its revolution in 1933. Sir John .Simon (Home Secretary) confessed ho was not satisfied with the situation in the East End and it had been decided to detail extra police. It is not believed there is any widespread hostility to Jews hut disquieting movements, are developing in certain quarters in London.
