FOR SENTENCE.
INTOXICATED DRIVER OF CAR. SEQUEL TO A FATALITY. (Special to the “Guardian.”) TIMARU, March 5. The death of a young woman on the morning of January 5 was recalled in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday when John McLean Hunter was charged that, while in a state of intoxication he was in charge of a motor-car and by an action or omission did cause the death of Helen Lilian McKay. He was also charged with driving a motor-car on Wai-iti Road'in a manner which, having regard to all the circumstances of the case, might have been dangerous to the public. Hunter pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence to the Supreme Court in Christchurch.
