SUNSHINE AGAIN TO-DAY. The warm sunshine experienced in Ashburton during the last few days, continued to-day. The temperature was warm and the sky was cloudless in the morning. The northerly breeze was light. The maximum temperature yesterday was 67.2 degrees, and the minimum last night 40 degrees. Barometric pressure at 9 o’clock this morning was 29.91 inches, compared with 29.91 inches yesterday morning. TO-DAY’S FORECAST. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather: — General inference: An anti-cyclone is located to the eastward, and has increased in intensity. The shallow depression to the north is moving slowly eastward, while that over the Tasman Sea has lost intensity. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Gamaru is as follows: — Light to moderate and variable winds, with northerlies or northeasterlies predominating. Weather fair to fine and mild. Seas slight to moderate.
