(From Our Own Correspondents.) METHVEN. A special meeting of the Board of Managers of St.. John's [Presbyterian Church was presided over by the Rev. L. V. Bibby. In connection with the Methven ewe fair to be held on Friday, March 13, it was reported that permission had been received to use the Agricultural and Pastural Association's showground pavilion for holding a luncheon, morning and afternoon tea booth. It • was decided to provide breakfast in the saleyards buildings. It was decided to circularise members of the congregation for donations of all kinds to provide for the booth, particulars of gifts to be sent to the church secretary (Mr A. G. Foreman). WESTERFIELD There was a good attendance at the February meeting of the Westerfield Branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union, held at "Maranui,' the residence of Mrs H. Dillon (vicepresident). A special committee was appointed to arrange for a "Harvest Home" Ball to be held in March. A shilling Bring and Buy stall and sales table were well patronised. Mrs A. Clibborn (Christchurch) and Miss M. Dillon judged the competitions, which resulted as follows : Shortbread : Mrs R, M'Cann 1, Mrs R. Ferguson 2. Hand-made tea towel: Miss M. Lowry 1, Mrs G. R. Watson 2. Fruit: Miss G. Watson 1. Vegetable: Mrs D. Shaw and Mrs M. M'Cann (equal) 1. Bloom: Mrs D. Shaw 1. Mrs Shaw sang a solo. Afterwards a dainty afternoon tea was served. RAKAIA.

Mrs Knights presided at a meeting of the Anglican Ladies' Guild, held in St. Mark's' Schoolroom on Tuesday. The meeting took the form of a gut afternoon, and a good variety of articles was received for the bazaar to be held on April 30. Arrangements were made for the purchase of material to be made up into garments for the bazaar.
