WOMAN FOR SENTENCE
FOUND GUJLTY OF ARSON. (Per Press Association.) WANGANTji, March 4. Alter a retirement of 25 minutes, the jury in the Supreme Court to-day found Florence Alberta Biro, a married woman, of Ohakune, aged 29, guilty of arson. The jury added a rider strongly recommending the prisoner to mercy. She was remanded for sentence until to-morrow, Mr Justice Ostler saying that he would take time to. consider the rider, together with the probation officer's report. The trial, which was adjourned from sittings a fortnight ago,, lasted two day.s, the Crown, calling about.2o , witnesses. : ' : . 1 .'"•'"'.
