ASHBURTON STOCK MARKET. CONCLUDING SALES YESTERDAY. Tlie following were the concluding sales at the Ashburton stock market yesterday:— Fat Lambs —On account of Mrs G. Smith (Eiffelton), 1 at 80s 3d; clients, 3 at 28s Id, 2 at 25s 4d, 22 at 23s 4d, 21 at 22s lOd, 99 at 23s Id, 99 at 22s lOd. Fat Wethers—On account of G. W. Loss (Ituapuna), 17 at 23s 4d. Store Ewes —On account of clients, 165 at 9s sd, 38 at 4s, 32 at 6s Id.. Store Lambs—On account of clients, 138 at 19s 6d, 125 at 19s 3d, 138 at 16s 7d, 115 at 17s lOd. CRAIN AND PRODUCE. THE AUCKLAND MARKET. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, February 11. Potatoes are coming forward in good supply from Pukekohe. Tho price is 3s a sugar-bag, or £4 15s a ton on rail, Pukekohe. Pukekohe onions are fetching 3s 6d a sugr-bag and £5 10s a ton on rail Pukekohe. Maize is scarce and very dear, whole and crushed realising 6s 9d a bushel. Small quantities of new season’s oats are available, and Cartons are quoted after a lapse of several months. Feed Australian and B Gartons are 4s 3d a bushel, A Gartons 4s 6d, clipped Gartons 4s 9d, clipped Duns 5s 9d, and clipped Algerians 4s 6d. Chaff is lower at £7 17s 6d a ton. ENGLISH WHEAT QUOTATIONS. LONDON, February 11. There is little demand for parcels and futures are dull. Futures are quoted:—London: March, 29s 2d per quarter; July, 29s 2Jd. Liverpool; March, 6s per cental; May, 6s; July, 6s ljjd. The spot trade is quiet. Australian, ex ship, 32s 6d to 335. CHICAGO WHEAT PRICES. NEW YORK, February 10. Chicago wheat futures are quoted May, 97J- cents a bushel; July, , September, 87 7-8. WINNIPEG WHEAT W.EAK. MONTREAL, February 10. A Winnipeg message states there was pronounced weakness in wheat to-day, in the wake of statistics showing a lari increase in world shipments last week. WELLINGTON CAS DIVIDEND. WELLINGTON, February 11. At the annual meeting of the Wellington Gas Company, Ltd., to-day, an interim dividend of 4 per cent, was passed, making 8 per cent, for the year. Sir Harold Beauchamp and Mr

George F. Pearce were re-eiected directors. The dividend has been 8 per cent, for several years. STANDARD INSURANCE DIVIDEND DUNEDIN, February 11. At a meeting of the directors of the Standard Insurance Company, Ltd., it was decided to declare a dividend of Is 3d a share for the half-year ended December 31 last, payable on March 2. The dividend is equivalent to C: 1 , per cent., an unchanged rate. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. MARKET VERY FIRM. SYDNEY, February 11. At the wool sales 10,723 bales were offered, 10,243 were sold at auction, and 704 privately. Tlie tone of the market was very firm, with a hardening tendency for better-class skirtings.
