UNEMPLOYED YOUTHS.
PROPOSALS UNDER REVIEW. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, February G. Proposals for the alleviation of youth unemployment are at present under consideration, but not yet ready for publication, the Minister for Labour (the Hon. H. T. Armstrong) informed a deputation from the Auckland Boys’ Employment Committee to-day. Mr Armstrong assured the deputation of the whole-hearted co-operation by the Cabinet. He said the Government would utilise the services of committees. “There is nothing more important than rescuing boys from themselves at the impressionable age,” said the Minister. “I am one of those who believe in keeping boys longer at school, but we have to make it economically possible for parents to do that.”
