MINING DISPUTE.
THE PARTIES TO CONFER. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, February 4. The secretary of the Coalmine Owners’ Association (Mr T. 0. Bishop) stated to-day that the miners in the Waikato coal mines have reumed work, the mine owners refraining in the meantime from using machines in pillar extraction. The question in dispute is to he decided by a Disputes Committee representative of the Miners’ Organisation and the Coalmine Owners’ Association. The joint committee will meet at Huntly in a day or two.
