MEETING OF ROAD BOARD The Wakanui Road Board held its monthly meeting yesterday afternoon, ivffieu there were present Messrs J«. Frnmpton (chairman), J. Watson, and A. Bennett. , The chairman reported that the diaytnen bad completed the shingling of about 70 chains of Corbett’s road and that file side of the bridge over the water race at Sea view school corner had been repaired. The stock ranger reported that one ratepayer bad been herding cattle on the road, and it was agreed to issue instructions that proceedings would lie taken if the practice continued. It was also reported that several cattle had been found grazing on the roads and the fines imposed bad been paid by theowners. ' It was decided to add the 10 per cent penalty to all current rates outstanding after March 6.
