AUSTRALIA BEATS GRIQUALAND. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) CAPE TOWN, February 3. Australia defeated Griqualand West by an innings and 105 runs. The home team made 198 and 120. The Australians declared at 423 for six, O’Brien scored 113 and Oldfield 132. Bowling for Australia, O’Reilly took seven for 88 and six for 54. He took the last three wickets in one over. A feature of the match was the amazing prj.nise of the 16-year-old Helfrioh, who enterprisingly collected as many runs through O’Reilly’s leg trap as anywhere else. Finally he was deceived by a faster paced ball from O’Reilly which removed his bails when he was 59.
