MURDERER ESCAPES.
ALL NIGHT SEARCH FAILS. SHOOTING OF A WATCHMAN. (United Press Association:— Copyright.) (Received This Day, 8.55 a.m.) ’ - NEW YORK, February 3. After a futile all-night search from cellar to roof the police were compelled to abandon the hunt for'a man who shot ■ the watchman of Wofilworth building. The arrival of tenants of various offices at the opening hour of the building made continuation of the search useless. How the assailant managed to escape from the structure, which was closely guarded during the night, is not explained.
