DR. CUNNINGHAM CONTINUING
(Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 20. “Dr G. H. Cunningham, who recently resigned his position as officer in charge of the plant research station at Palmerston North, will continue his services at the station,” said the Hon. D. G. Sullivan to-day. This news, Mr Sullivan said, would no doubt be welcomed by the various agricultural and fruit interests' which [hud made representations to the Gov[ernment on the subject. Some months [ago Dr. Cunningham had intimated [his desire to resign from the Government service with a view to proceeding with similar work overseas, but because [of the improved facilities, etc., Dr. Cunningham had now signified his de[sire to continue with the Department, and arrangements had been made by the Public Service Commissioner accordingly.
